Well, this "monumental effort" should have never been needed in the first place. Don't these guys feel embarrassed? I wonder how badly their network was secured, this attack was far from unstoppable.

Yeah well the prevention was ****. But they went all the way with the fix. A lot of huge companies go half ***. So props for that.
It's unbelievable and ridiculous ! I can't believe that this was the prevention level of Maersk !!! His business, his profits, his customers were not important ?
I'm tired of myself being outraged by these multi-million/billion dollar companies having kindergarten IT. I'll be outraged again I'm sure. But by reinstalling 4,000 servers, 45,000 PCs, and 2500 applications over the course of ten days. I give them props by going whole hog & fixing it. I doubt many others who get caught with their pants down like this go this far.
