Hi,to all , I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP

I have installed on my pC the 3d max program from discreet, along with the c-dilla spyware it brings, i have both Spybot Search and Destroy and SPYWARE Blaster, after i scanned my pc, SPYBOT identified the C-Dilla but alert me that the program could be affected, so I did not let spybot modify it or take action, afterwards I used SPYWARE as instructed on PCWorld Magazine. to "protect my PC" .

However now the program does not run, it says that the "license failed to initialize " I Understand OR think , that the SPYWARE Blaster program blocked ,

According with the program I could reset my whole system with the "REMOVE PROTECTION FOR UNCHECKED ITEMS" , but it will let my machine again without protection, Could you please tell me or instruct me which Items should I select to use the option " REMOVE PROTECTION FOR UNCHECKED ITEMS" if you know which items c-dilla or 3dmax uses that I should allow in order for the program to run.

I really have no one to ask for help around here, PLEASE, PLEASE do help me.

    Hi haskings2000,

First, Welcome to Wilders Security Forums! :)

Okay lets try to clarify the situation just a little bit more... You are saying that the 3dmax program is currently not able to run, (it gives you the error 'license failed to initialize"), and you think SpywareBlaster's protections are the reason for this.

Well, let's test that first to be absolutely sure that is the case.

I think you should disable the SpywareBlaster protections (by running SpywareBlaster, pressing the "Deselect All" button, then the "Remove Protection for Unchecked Items" button) and then retry the 3dmax program.

Since SpywareBlaster can easily enable and disable its protections, there is not really a problem testing this as needed in order to verify that it is SpywareBlaster ActiveX protections causing this problem. If you have already done this, then let us know as it is not completely clear if you tried this.

Once you let us know what happens, we'll move forward from there.

    Best Wishes,
    LowWaterMark

First of all I appreciatte all your help. I will try not to confuse you all wtih my explanation

I disable all the pretections ( from the registry as I understand) using Spyware Blaster as instructed, 3dmax still would not function, however I did

found the Following directions within a README file
" ·   Under certain circumstances, the software lock components might not get installed properly. If after you install 3ds max 5, you get

errors [7.1.29] or [19.1.93] when starting the program, it is an indication that the software lock components are not running. First, try rebooting the

machine. If that fails, make sure (under Microsoft® Windows NT or Windows 2000) that you are logged on as Administrator of the computer, and

then (1) Go to the folder labeled \3dsmax5\swl and run cdsetup.exe; (2) click Install; (3) when the installation is complete, click Exit and reboot

    before launching 3ds max again"

So I reinstalled the cdilla using the procedure above, and miracously it work, I Have two programs to monitor the installation Norton Clean Sweep

and Safe Install from IOLO Sysytem mechanic, here is the complete report of the changes that the reinstallation did , including the ones in the

registry ( I think), so maybe you be able to see or analyze if some of the spyware blaster settings, blocks them or disable them , I f you happen to

identify such please let me know so I can re-protect my computer with all the other settings that do not affect the program and maybe you could

use it to alert other users.
Thanks in advance for all your help.
