Hey CArtoonBoy, I tried the same with a transparent .gif.
Although I can see it is transparent in the Control>Test Movie
and save it the same way I did for the transparent ones
(for I did a few transparent ones too :) ) it is not
transparent anymore after I saved it...
see this one with the globe for example....
    Any idea?

Choose METHOD 2 from the next section and upload your image from your computer. ( METHOD 1 lets you grab one from the net ) I think there is a 400kb limit o_O

    Then select transparify ;)

Now, lets draw a face. and select the face using the pointer. This will highlight the object like the diagram below.

We will now create a symbol. Now press F8.

Name the symbol " head " and select graphic in the behaviour section. Press OK.

    Now press F11.

What you have done is created an " instance " in the library ;) . It will be stored there for whenever you need it. You can drag and drop that instance on the stage whenever you like :D

Now....draw a leg / group it / F8 / name it left leg ( same as the head step )

Do the same for EVERY body part you want to use.

Right leg, Left arm, Right arm etc.etc....

So basically this is how you create EVERYTHING you want to use in your movie.

Now.....click on the arm on stage and using the resize tool, grab the circle in the middle of the arm and drag it to the end. This is where the arm will " pivot "

Also do this for every other part of the body. ;)

O.K ? With the stick person in the middle of the stage RIGHT CLICK on frame 2 on the timeline. Then select one leg and move it as far as you want. Do this with anything you wish to move in this frame. The less you move it the smoother the animation, I will move mine alot just to get the message across :)

When that's done, repeat the same for the frame 3 and so on...........

TIP : You can COPY and PASTE frames ;)

Also....note where the pivot points are, this is important ;)

REMEMBER : You can go to great detail to make EVERY part of the animation move, all you have to do is create seperate " symbols " for each part. I hope this explains frame by frame clearly enough guys :)

    Next I will introduce " LAYERS " :D :D :D

I had some trouble with the second frame....the 'right click' thing? Was I supposed to insert a frame or keyframe?? I'm not sure how I actually got it. Took me 20mins or so of fooling around....
    Anyway...

NICE WORK BBUCK !! LOL!! Insert Keyframe ;) A Keyframe is a frame to use when you want to make a change...... LOL!!

That's the two types of animation in flash. Everything else will be enhancements to your movie.

p.s I hope you saved the file 'cause will will use that later on with the rest of the effects ;)
