Just a question, if someone used a MacChanger which changes your Mac Address at every boot, would this affect a VPN using OpenVPN in anyway?

Reason I'm curious is due to the MacChanger spoofing your networks cards info, if that would somehow negatively affect the ability of the VPN. Since the VPN would be trying to use your legitimate network card correct?

MAC spoofing might interfere with LAN connection. But, once you're connected, it won't matter to VPN servers (which don't see your MAC).

MadMACs (a MAC changer for Windows) doesn't interfere with Open VPN.

As I understand it, using a Mac changer locally on your computer only changes your computer's mac address. Once you turn on your router after running the mac changer, the router to your ISP makes a table entry for your computer with the changed mac address.

However, this does not change the mac address of your router! To do that you would have to be connected between the router and your computer in order to login as admin to the router and change the router's mac address.
