The release notes for the different releases between .3.171 and .5.66 are still not available btw.

I was told they didn't want to post change logs for Mac's any more and I talked them back into it!

Which is only a tad longer than to release a Mac version?

Joe would probably suggest I'm far better at stirring it though? ;)
Like mentioning the absence of a 1Password v4(required for Mavericks) parsing template to import into WSAC Password feature! :(

You should be able to export to CSV and import :)

    Nice, thanks indeed TH :)
Joe: any chance the changelogs for already released Mac builds mentioned earlier will also be posted?

Cool. Guess I'll reinstall it. I had removed it earlier this year because of abnormal performance impact on my MBP and obnoxious behavioral prompts for everything (installing Flash updates, installing Steam updates, installing Chrome updates, installing OSX updates, etc)

Is the Mac product closer to parity with its Windows counterpart now, or does it still rely on local signatures more?

The Mac product is using the cloud now like the PC product. It still has some local signatures because certain threats are more accurately detected in that manner on the platform, but the issues you mention should be corrected with the latest releases.

fantastic - i can already say that i'm not noticing the performance issues or prompting i saw with the earlier versions, so this is a huge improvement.

    thanks!
