losing track of usb flash drive

    Please download the latest version of Acronis drivers, unpack the archive and install unpacked MSI package.

    If the issue persists, please collect some information to let us investigate it thoroughly:

    Please create Acronis Report before and after replugging the flash drive, and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread.     I decided I wasn't using the Kingston security partition on the drive so I went ahead and reformatted the whole thing as NTFS. As expected it did not solve the problem. Odd that it works fine with the 500 GB NTFS external USB but not the 2 GB NTFS flash drive.

    If there was a security partition on the USB flashdrive, did you retry it without that and the entire flashdrive formatted as FAT32?

    Personally, if I want to boot from a flashdrive, I avoid ones with security related software/hardware on them.

    Well, it's not working without the security partition formatted as NTFS so I guess I could try reformatting again as FAT32 if you think that has a chance of working. I had actually forgotten about the security partition until I went to reformat to NTFS and saw it there.

    I just now saw that Acronis Tech support posted to this thread. I don't know why I missed it but I will try the new drivers they suggest and report back.
