I'm looking for a simple driverless app control util to dictate which apps can access the net. I used to use Appdefend but when I switched to x64 it started giving me bluescreens. Being driverless can limit it's effectiveness but i'm looking for stability, not to mention the difficulty of finding utils with x64 drivers.

I found a driverless firewall but it only has port/ip control.

what firewall are u using? doesnt it offer app control?

why have you switched to winxp x64 anyways? what u are looking for is almost nonexistant in 32-bit let alone 64-bit.

I don't use a firewall right now. I'm behind a router so it's only outbound I'm concerned with.

    I use x64 because it's a good OS. :)

Just tried Extendia Firewall and it works great except it doesn't filter 64bit programs. No driver and it runs in under 1 MB of RAM so it's good enough for me.
