I keep getting a message from AVG telling me that I have a SecThought trojan. It gives me a filepath, but the path doesn't exist. I went in and made sure ALL the folders in the system were viewable, and it's just not there. Please HELP!!

What file and path is given by AVG? No sign of it as running in your log. A few minor thing that should be fixed, but no trojans.

    the path is:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\K5y3SDAV\install035[1].exe

The only change when it comes up again!!! is the numbers between Content.IE5\.............\install035

and of the things listed what should be eliminated??

    Thank You so much!

I would suggest that you uninstall Spysweeper from Add/Remove Programs. It is notorious for "false positives" and does not always remove things correctly.

Have Hijack This fix all of the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and hitting fix checked. Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing.

    Reboot, and delete

    C:\Program Files\WildTangent <-- folder

These may be hidden files. See HERE for how to show hidden files.

From Internet Options, delete all temporary internet files. Check the box "delete all off line content" before clicking OK. That should take care of the Trojan.

One of the entries in your running processes list looks a little "suspicious". Would you please find the file C:\WINDOWS\System32\OVComS.exe, and check its properties. If it does not seem to be related to any software you have installed, please go to Kapersky, and submit a copy to them for checking. It is probably OK, but I have been unable to find out exactly what it is.
Post back with any information, and say if your problems persist.

I did all that, and it does seem to boot faster. We'll see if I get any more "virus alerts" from AVG. McAffee's did catch and block a worm this morning, so thats a good thing. I looked into that file you mentioned, and in the properties it says it's from Logitech. I have a keyboard from them, so it's probably OK. Thanks much for all the help!!
