    Hello,
    Download LSPfix here: http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

Launch the application, and click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox.

Check all instances of inetadpt.dll (and nothing else) , and move them to the "Remove" pane.
    Then click Finish.

Then find and delete the c:\windows\system32\inetadpt.dll ... file.

    Reboot.

you are running hijackthis out of a temporary directory. Can you please create a folder in My Documents and call it Hijack (or something similar). Then extract hijackthis into the folder you have created and run it from there. The reason for this is that Hijackthis cannot create backup files whilst it is being run from a temporary folder

    When you have done this, then make sure all browsers and windows are closed except for hijackthis and put a check against the following and click 'fix checked';

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = about:blank
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://allaboutsearching.com/searchbar.html
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = about:blank
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\blank.htm
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
    O1 - Hosts: pe.com

reboot and post a fresh log

Seems okay now. I'm not getting it anymore. Wouldn't let me delete the inetadpt.dll, except after reboot.

    Is log okay now?

    Thanks.

    Hi pbj,

I only see one item left to remove.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:
