local.db causing system hangs

    Hello,

    I've been having system freezes lately; Procmon reveals that during these, ESET is trying to load the local.db file.

    The file is currently at 753,415 KB; that may indicate something. I've read a few threads with other users experiencing the same issue, but the OPs typically disappear before the thread is solved.

    Any help with this would be appreciated!

    Is the file really about 750 MB in size? If so, do you frequently compile files on your computer?

    It's grown several MB since I posted yesterday evening. Attached is a screenshot:

    I've done some Java compiling, but the last program I did was a little over a month ago.

    on my zx10-r
    i have seen this same issue with a .db file but for me eset just gets stuck scanning it constantly i dont see freezes but every time i open eset its just sitting scanning that file
