LnS and Windows firewall in Win 8 pro

Hi,

after installing LnS on windows 8 pro.

still windows firewall is on and working.

is it safe to use both firewall together ?

any suggestion/experience ?

 

i've used both together on W7 & W8.

they seem to work well together.
the common wisdom is to only run 1 firewall but i've read other users have used both firewalls.

 

I am also looking for a simple firewall without hips for a Windows 8 laptop, it is worth buying a license to LnS now or has it been abandoned ?

 

there has not been any updates in 2-3 years.
nor any news of the developer since then.

pretty much abandoned afaic.

 

oh,sorry to hear that i tried it in a VM and liked it, pretty lightweight and classic firewall.

It works , and [IMO] you will find it very hard if not impossible to find a better, lighter, and easier to use rule based firewall.

It works...

 

does not need to be updated
It is rule based
update it yourself or buy Phant0m Ruleset

On windows 8?...thought XP was the last OS it worked ok with.

 

As LNS, or almost, you know humor?...

 

Lns works fine with windows 7 32 and 64 bit ,unlike sygate.I prefer accuracy with my humour
