    Hi
I haven't checked much to see if this has already been discussed
    sorry if it has.

I just used mruBlaster for the first time everything went fine, first time..
I had checked [x] Internet explorer typed URLs
    [x]windows run[x]Google[x]windows find search
    [x]windows recent
and restarted --no problems--everything cleaned :)
second time I had also checked:
    install locations,
    windows stream,
    various extra singe mru's

    windows restarted with an error
Windows encountered an error accessing the registry will repair and restart PC,,,,,
    now heres the real problem...
IF a basic PC user doesn't now know to take mrublaster's shortcut out of the startup folder, and then let windows restart
    What would they do
    Ya no
There was also a wmp shortcut in the quick-launch ,another on desktop..

So I wonder was it the : install locations, windows stream,
or various extra singe mru's that caused the problems.

This is a windows ME system (original OS)
    Regards
    Lonny

I highly suspect it was just a coincidence. There shouldn't be any particular item that, when cleaned, would cause that problem.

Could you try it again and see if you can reproduce the problem? TIA.

    Hi javacool

Yes I can reproduce the problem, but its not what I thought and
the information I provided was incorrect, partly.. sorry

Apparently its the user assist with windows me thats causing the problems(spybot has a similar problem to)

If I have only that option checked (plugins off) scan clean
reboot with silent clean shortcut in startup folder usually no problems the first reboot ,, clean again and reboot windows will
scanreg / fix( I'm not sure this time if it was scanreg restore of fix)

Not sure why the media player shortcuts showed up the first time
    They didn't this time.

so symptoms after first reboot MRU blaster only thing checked user assist,, no personalized favorites menus -In IE or windows start menu --they all expand,, Spybot does this to but windows never
    Scanreg /fix'd

    ============================================
    windows user assist MRU

    and
    75048700-ef1f-11do-9888-006097deacf9
same two for windows user assist(default)

Could be hazardous for win me users if they have this checked and are prompted to reboot and dont first uncheck that option.

    Bye for now

    Hello Lonny,
You are not the only one to have seen little problem related with MRU Blaster,
When I installed the program on my computer I had also the miss of my usual desktop which became corrupted and unconfigurated as before...
When I uninstalled it, everythings went back to normal, subject has been mentioned here already, but no solution proposed.....

I would highly recommend that you do not use the Temporary Internet Files Cleaner, if this happens, and that you also uncheck the following items in the MRU-Blaster settings: "Windows Stream MRU" and "Windows UserAssist MRUs"

    Best regards,

    Hi Javacool

Ive decided not to use MRU blaster or let spybot clean any mru's
    except for tif
There must be something differant on windows me system that differs from win 98 and XP,,

Anyway I do use SpywareBlaster,SpywareGaurd, Everyone should have it

    ThankYou
    Lonny

PS one strange symtom lately wish I knew what triggerd it..
in IE tools advanced in the security section
[X] empty Temporary Internet files folder when browser is closed,
is now working, never did before :D
