Linux Mint and Ubuntu,Fedora

    Well it has been said before - Linux Mint isn`t the same as Ubuntu.

    I don't want to seem so salty... I do like parts of Windows 7 and there are a good number of apps I cannot use on Windows that will never be on Linux. Still, I am going to give Ubuntu another try on my laptop and see if I can make another go at it. I will still have to use Windows in a virtual box, though.

    Try wubi or Mint4win: pretty much failsafe. :)

    Have to google M4W but basically the same routine.
    Equivalent of an install without pffaffing re partitioning etc, can keep nativeMS OS intact
    Both work with W7

    I have had good luck running Ubuntu etc in VMPlayer while on the learning curve.
    Or, of course use VB on Win7

    I've to XP Pro running Virtualbox under Ubuntu 10. Will try that for a while and see how it goes.
