Please I hope someone can help, my computer was taken in today to find out why a Microsoft program won't install. The Geek Squad said there was a virus trying to get into my system, in order to remove it I would have to pay many dollars. They said least pricey way is to back up my system and scan, I scanned with eset, microsoft, and another not one of them finding the issue the Geek Squad found. Can anyone suggest or help me find out wha the problem is?

I tried updating service pack 1 my computer shut down completely since then running very slow things are popping up changes made with out me doing them. The last two days my nontechno savvy way is was just be concerned so I took it in for a scan and make sure I did not break something. That is when somone from the geek squad said there was a virus.
