The laser deflectors will automatically come on as we get nearer to the surface it will destroy almost any meteor or small astroid we may encounter.

We are due to have another retro burn in 3.5 hrs. The duration of the burn will be eight seconds the ship will experience a positive 2.8g force for the entire burn. No problems are anticipated and all normal duties can continue at the cessation of the retro burn.

We have to do a close-entry orbit around Mars to help slow down our ship in preparation for our final approach. :D

As this takes place the captain will have time to inform the crew of the exploration schedule she has set up.

I have A survelance shot of the stooges taking off from the astroid. I think they are going to try and catch up. That will never happen but they should get here in two days.

Yes she has, but I've got a question for you. How do you breath at an altitude of 35.22 miles? You wouldn't be trying to kiss up for some of the wealth we might find there are you? o_O

It's never been a problem for us Lincolnshireites to live and breath at altitude....something to do with the Ozone layer that comes in from the sea on those dark and foggy nights....English fog has strange attributes that are too scary to talk about.......I can say no more......other than Mars is just a blink away for some of us......muuuhaaa!

It is probably sterile dust, but it could have a few mars dust mites in it. ;)

Overall the crew and the ship have performed flawlessly the whole trip. I believe I will take this moment to commend the crew for their unereing attention to details and duty to allow this mission to procede as well as it has. Double rum rations for the whole crew after dinner tonight. ;)

Maybe while were here, we should hold our own Martian Olympics. I bet we could set some new pole vault records in this low gravity. :D

I will take this opportunity to inform you, my fearless crew and friends that, now that our Mission is over, I will stop posting in Mars thread as I will be preparing my things for an extended sojourn far abroad (this summer) and so will not have too much time to spend here creating Mars gifs.

I really want to thank all of the wonderful people who participated in the thread and made it so enjoyable for me (and hopefully others ). You are all great sports! :) :) :)
