Slammer, I have just completed a long range scan for possible location where we can find water for your little friends. From all indications and this telescopic photo, it appears that finding water or ice will be no problem.
Captain, I was thinking that if slammer can breed enough of these organisims, then it would be possible to have an unlimited supply of fuel.

Thank you guys for you input, :) that was really interesting. Hey Slammer, I liked the article about the Geobacter species. That bacteria can be very useful to generate electricity, we might try it afterwards. ;) Bigc, I'm glad that you checked all the system properly. Continue to do that regularly, it is very important for our safety. Bj, your Martian picture was just fine...

I saw this in the paper this morning....

Well no matter what you do, there's always going to be critics. I guess if we find anything of value, we just won't share. Na, na, na, na, na, na. :p

Oh, idee, idee, idee, idee, idee, idee, I.

    The delay has finally ended,
    We lifted off OK.
    We're flying through outer space,
    We're finally on our way.
    Something bad did happen though,
    The Stooges missed the flight.
I told them not to be too late,
But they had to stop for a bite.

Oh, idee, idee, idee, idee, idee, idee, I.

    The ship is working perfectly,
    We have no problems yet.
We had a little close call,
    With a pretty big comet.
We are all flying along now,
    As happy as can be.
I think that we're all liking,
    This zero gravity.

Oh, idee, idee, idee, idee, idee, idee, I.

    We're getting all our data.
    With our intruments.
    And using all this power,
Doesn't cost a lot of cents.
    For Slammer found some microbes,
And they can do the trick.
    They give us electricity,
And they won't make us sick.

Oh, idee, idee, idee, idee, idee, idee, I.

What will happen to us now,
    We don't really know.
We're on our way to Mars,
    Only 56 days to go.
    We're traveling very, very fast,
    We're playing in the stars.
We finally got us off the ground,
We're on our way to Mars.

Oh, idee, idee, idee, idee, idee, idee, I.
Oh, idee, idee, idee, idee, idee, ideeeee, Iiiiiiiiiiii
    :D

I hate to bring this up but as science officer I have a full blood scan scheduled for the crew. If the crew would gather at the main passage way by the mess hall at 1200 hrs. we will get this little unpleasant ordeal over with. Thank you.

What could be so unpleasant about using a modern medical scanner? Unpleasant? I have a funny feeling you're talking needles here-ah-well-I had one of those done before liftoff. Yeah, really I did. Remember, I was sick a few days before. They had to check me out, and boy did that nurse check me ou-umm-err-I gotta go.

Thats right, you will require a little more intense investigation to make sure your bug is gone and has not tried to re'emerge. ;)

I really think Slammer is the one who needs to be checked out. He has lots of bugs, even more than me.[IMG]

Yikes! I'm scared of needles! :p

Thanks bj for your funny poem, it was very appropriate. :) I heard through the grapevine that we might be attacked on our way to Mars. So, be prepared!!!

Bigc, if there's any money left after the journey, we might
go to Tahiti...It would make a change, right? :D

Love to go to Tahiti and lay on the warm sand, swim in the warm water. There has to be a little cash left over.

Aye Captain, I wonder who is going to be attacking us? Someone with a bunch of needles and a big smile on his face I'll bet.

I had the foresight to bring a few phaser rifles and in the hold ready for quick use is a Tesla particle beam weapon

Here is a pic. of a particle beam weapon being fired. A particle beam deconstructs the atomic bond of matter causing it to cease to exist.

    Hey bigc,

You better train the rest of the crew in how to shoot those things, we want to make quite sure they recognize the business end of the weapon!

The neat thing is if we have to shoot an enemy ship there will be no explosion to possibly damage Inifinity The enemy ship just ceases to exist like turning off a light bulb. ;)

Yes, I like the second one! I'm sure that Slammer will like it since it is more environmentally friendly! :D
But the one in reply 1115 seems a bit complicated... :p

With the phaser rifle you just point and pull the trigger. When a target is hit with a phaser it doesn't work like a particle beam. It throws the molocules out of phase and it ceases to work, organic or mineral.

I also have a paralizer ray gun to use if any fighting is going on inside inifinity to minimize damage.
