    Don't mind ed, dagolag. He still thinks hockey is played on a big field with girls in short skirts and a very hard ball. :p ;) :D.

    New season starts tonight. :D

    All teams(30) are in action and with the new rules in place, i really have no idea what to expect except for an awful lot of penalties(at least for a while anyway) :D ;) :D

    It's nice to see Keith Acton, the pride of my hometown(Stouffville) behind the Maple Leafs bench as assistant coach for a 5th season. :cool:

    He had a rock solid NHL career. :)

    Dick Pound's back in the news saying 33% of hockey players are using performance enhancing drugs in the NHL. Well Don Cherry says the NHL 's Garry Betman should sue.

    Mario was an absolute delight to watch and will be sadly missed. An excellent athelete indeed.

    Even though not listed Ed, Bobby Orr was the be all and end all for me. :thumb:

    Singlehandedly changed the face of the game of hockey.

    Oh bummer.....how could I have omitted the Big Kahuna!!! Yeah...I saw him play quite a few times and he was unreal. Who was the best?? Who knows.....who cares?? Those guys were special!!
