    Wow,

A player actually signing for less money, what a novel idea! ;) :D

I think you're going to see a lot more of this in the near future. ;)

Now them are fighting words.

One thing you can ALWAYS count on is Dallas coming back, sooner or later. Whether it be the COWBOYS or the STARS, they WILL be back.

If I had any $$ left after buying all of these security proggies, I would give you 5-to-1 on that! :D :D

    Hey Snowbound, ;)

I forgot to update the Eagle situation yesterday ... They signed him too.

I can't believe all of the quaily FA's available ... see as the leafs seem to be in a spend mood and don't seem to believe in a hard cap coming ... maybe they'll add some more talent to the corps.

An impressive list of unrestricted free agents which includes Alexei Kovalev, Paul Kariya, Michal Nylander, Richard Matvichuk, Alexei Zhamnov, Peter Bondra, Mathieu Schneider, Teemu Selanne, Dominik Hasek, Brett Hull, Brendan Shanahan, Steve Yzerman, Chris Osgood, Craig Conroy, Ziggy Palffy, Vincent Damphousse, Alexei Zhitnik, Mike Knuble, Glen Murray, Brian Rolston, Eric Lindros, Curtis Brown, Jason Allison, Adam Deadmarsh, Anson Carter, Valeri Bure, Niklas Sundstrom, Pavol Demitra and Kevin Weekes

I highlighted the few I'd wish for ..... happily dreaming

A little noise coming out of Ottawa ... What a mistake in my opinion ... I would've kept Lalime ... at least until Ray Emery is ready ... this kid looks good. What a waste of Money IMHO. ;)

    Well Snowbound,

It looks like the Baby Leafs are coming to Toronto ... now that that Edmonton has relocated the RoadRunners to Edmonton, so the only hurdle now is AHL approval ... it'll be great to watch them play all the time ... I sure hope Leafs TV doesn't have any designs on making this a pay-per-view, Leafs TV only thing. The fact that I'll miss 10 games next season (either 2004/05 or 05/06 should there be a lockout) has already got me steamed! ... What bandits

I sure feel sorry for those in St. John's ... they love their team, and are a great support. It's too bad really ... I'd love to have the Baby Leafs here, but not at the cost of the fans in St.John's. Hopefully if the NHL gets things worked out cap wise, and some sort of revenue sharing maybe we'll see a few more Canadian Teams ... Back to Quebec City, Winnipeg, then expansion/transfers to places like St. John's, Halifax, Regina/Saskatoon, Hamilton.

    That's great news. :)

I also feel sorry for the fans in St. John's. They gave great support to this team.

As u say hopefully there is some relocation or expansion back into Canada. I always thought Hamilton deserved an NHL team.

I fear a lock out is iminent. We will misss some games for sure.

Pay per view, baaa, i hope not.

Hopefully dog, we get to see some NHL hockey before the end of the year.

Besides, how else can we cheer for the next Stanley Cup Champions, our beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. :p ;) :D

    Canada won 3 - 1 over Russia, and fininshed the round-robin unbeaten 3 - 0.

So it looks like it'll be Canada vs. Slovak's in the 1/4 finals on Sept. 8th - 7pm ET.

Lets hope the Toronto crowd is more supportive in this game, there was a noticable different in crowd support & noise between Games 1 & 2 at the Bell Center in Montreal and Game 3 at the ACC in TO. So please if you've purchased a ticket for a seat to any of the remaining games ... get off your duff and make some NOISE!

Lets go Canada! :D ~Bring home the gold!~

    Well all u hockey fans.

Get ready for a long season of darkened arenas as the lockout begun last week.

Some say it could last 2 years.

Here in Hockey heaven(Canada) we will always support the game but south of the border a long lockout or strike could spell doom for a good lot of teams....

Damn the greedy owners and overpriced players. I blame they both. They have no regard for the fans who without, the game would be no more.

Like Nike says "Just do it", get the deal done and play the game we all love.....

Just curious. I haven't watched hockey for quite some time so i am out of the loop.

The players that I have a problem categorizing are Howe, Gretsky, Lemieux and about 20 Canadiens. Where do you guys place them. I really doubt there are any current players in their league.

    Regards, big ed

Well, as for Howe he played until the age of 50 so nuff said there. ;)

As for Gretsky, arguably the best player ever.

Mario Lemieux probably would have broken a few of Gretsky's records, would he have been unhampered by so many injurys plus cancer.....

Probably a little known fact, he hardly ever attended practices. That's how good he was.

As for those 20 Canadiens, i'll mention 1.

Henri Richard, 11 Stanley Cup rings in his career with the Montreal Canadiens.

    Unbelievable....
