I agree, ... even though we're historic rivals. It's sad just the same ...

They sure are! No fat lady in sight (nor ear ;) ) yet: this thread is starting to make me a fan! Too bad there's so little (free/non-paid) media-coverage of this heroic battle over here in Europe....
    Go LEAFS, Go!!

    :)

    They definitely are dog. :D

    I love it! :D

    @ slammer JvA

Nice to see your becoming a hockey fan. :)

I am surprised there is not more coverage over there since so many of the skilled players come from Europe now. :doubt:

Don't worry though, we will keep u informed. ;) :D

    Leafs lose 7-2 :'(

This is one of the worst playoff games i have ever been subjected to.

Well, the leafs have to win the remaining 2 games to advance to the next round or they will be on the golf course by the end of the week.

    Game 5 Update ... :'(

Leafs had not one star of the game ... but as consolation ... I'm giving out 18 Dummy Awards ... Just so 'Caber's not singled out for his two BIG goofs that lead to goals.

Talk about just going thru the motions  ... todays display was completely embarassing ... (sigh) ... lets hope they have a good game at home ... and then actually get on the plane to Philly.

    Go Leafs Go!

    Hi Slammer, :)

If you dress up in the tiger suit ... you got the job! ;)

Carlton the Bear is Cute ... but since the Leafs relocated to the ACC ... he doesn't seem to have the luck you do. :) Hopefully your lucky again Slammer! :D

    Hey Slammer, :)

Since u have been such a good sport about our beloved Toronto Maple Leafs, why don't u start a thread about soccer( or football as u call it) when the Euro cup starts next month? ;)

U can teach all us soccer dummies(me anyway) over here the fine art of the most famous sport in the world!

I don't know a lot about football but i do like to watch the big events such as world cup and euro cup competitions.

    How about it?

We'll all cheer for the Netherlands( i do like their open style of play as opposed to the defensive suffocation of the Germans) ;) :D

U can never talk enough sports IMHO. ;) :D

    Hi Snowbound!

Yah, It's always possible ... But I see a pattern here ;) ... 0 in 3 in Philly ... Maybe Philly's doing more than just "spying" on the leafs :ninja: ... maybe their drug'n or Kidnapping and impersonating the Leafs when they visit Philly :doubt: ... now that's a home ice advantage! :D LOL

    Hi fellow Leafs Fans, :)

I thought I'd let you all know ... While I was praying to my Mini Stanley Cup (as usual during the playoffs) ... I suddenly had a vision of the late Lord Stanley ... and he smiled and winked at me! LOL I interpert that as good things to come ... or am I just another Leaf fan in need of physcological help? ;)

Go Leafs Go! Good luck at the ACC on the 4th ... 'cause grown men aren't supposed to cry. :'( ;) :D

That's nice to see ;) ... I love those Small Market Teams ... especially Edmonton and Calgary ... I like what they done ... it's nice to see kids play the game for the love of it, rather than for the money like some of the high priced talent sometimes seem to. It's just like watching the passion thats evident in the OHL - that never say die attitude! - I love it! :)

BTW ... although a little offtopic ... Oiler's vs. the Flame's is my favourite rivalry to watch ... when on CBC.

Good luck Calgary ... welcome to the semi's ... it's been awhile ... I'll be rooting for you. :)

    Poor Leafs lose a close one. 3 - 2 in OT ... :'(

The sad thing is ... it was probably the last game for a few future Hall 'o Famers play ... Ronnie & Alex (has his Home up for sale) for sure and if there's a lock out next year ... we can probably include Joe, Gary, Eddy, and Brian in that bunch ...

Overall ... it wasn't a bad way for the leafs to go out ... it was one heck of a game ... they came oooh so close to win ... but most importantly never quit!

We'll have to start this thread up again next year ... eh Snowbound.

    dog - *puppy*

So for the remainder of this season ... GO FLAMES GO!!!! :D
