Had Major issues, with the Kids setup regarding virus, and malware- spyware...etc..etc..etc !!!

Decide, to wipe all 3 computers using dban-nuke, and re-install, windows xp on two, and vista on mine.

First: All 3 Computers are running Firefox as browser.

    Firefox (extension)
    1. WOT (for the kids)
    2. Noscripts

(if I miss some firefox extra security, privacy extension what else is needed?)

    --
Second: All 3 Computers are running as follows Antivirus

Avast! Home edition is main AV

    ON-Demand Anti-Virus
    • Bitdefender 10 (freeware)
    • A-Squared Free (freeware) ( have Start Scanner, turn off)

    --
Third: All 3 Computers are running as follows Anti_Malware

    On-Demand Anti-Malware
    • Malwarebytes (freeware)

    --

Fouth: All 3 Computers are running as follows Spyware

    On-Demand Anti-Spyware

    • SuperAntiSpyware (freeware)

    ---------
So, enclosing I been instructing them to scan using 3 software right click, to see if the software .exe or anything passes.

Also, set them up on OpenDNS, and restricted allot of access to the net.

If I still need something else, or miss something, or if something else is better, please advise.

    Major Thanks!
    :doubt:

kids can log in through the Virtual Accounts...

lastly..... do a back up image of all your computers...
it pain enough to wip, and re-install OS, drivers etc....
