Lenovo did not enter into intensive discussions with BB or the Canadian government the first time around as they were just kicking the tires. If BB wants this sale to go through there is going to be a lot of lobbying required to make it happen. However the fight may end up on multiple fronts as the FBI in the USA are already fighting smartphone encryption plans so the NSA may get their pointy nose into this as well.
