Latest SpySweeper and Win98SE

I am running Win98SE. I purchased SpySweeper back in Feb. 2004 (can't recall which version number it was). It installed and ran without a hitch. I was informed of an upgrade back in May. When installing the upgrade, it reaked havoc on my system. Error messages from every background process popped up. After uninstalling and cleaning out all traces, I reinstalled the first version and all was fine again. I was informed about another upgrade in August, hoping that the bug was fixed...nope, same problems. I reinstalled the version I got in February and it still runs fine. I am beginning to wonder if the newest versions are having compatibilty issues with Win98SE. Can anyone comment?
