Lastpass 1.8 and Google Authenticator

    Lastpass 1.8 has been released and includes the option to use Google Authenticator for two-factor authentication. This makes it possible to use a cell phone to provide a security code when logging into the Lastpass account - much easier then the "Sesame on a memory stick" option.

    :thumb: Got to love more options :D I use the yubikey now but google auth is a nice subsitute.

    Yes, options are good. I can't think of any downside to using the phone for dual-authentication (DA) and it means one less "thingie" (UBS flashdrive, Yubikey, etc) to carry around and keep track of. My bank already uses SMS for DA. I'd like to see DA become an option for online purchasing as well to better protect credit cards.
