Kubuntu 12.04 - bugs sound problems-new

I had no sound problems before I installed the mscorefonts. Now, whilst there is no problem
with audio on locally played multimedia files, I can't get sound on websites like YouTube - only the video.
I also got the yellow bulb icon in the system tray as described here
I have since removed the mscorefonts and made sure to remove the flashplugin-installer in favour of the adobe flashplugin. Nothing seems to work.

I hope there is some solution as I am not in the mood for a reinstall of 12.04. (It's buggier than 11.10 imho).

Edit: All sorted. Was an incorrect setting in 'Default audio device preferences' in audio setup.
