    Giveaway version shows no updates, while 9.1.0.4256 is already released. Manual download asks for serial number or trial. Selected trial, and my license was kept.

    ahh right, I rembember the poin 2 in condition terms 2) No free upgrades to future versions, but in this case is a update and not an upgrade
    I think it will come asap for pro users.
    I stop using it because it is working perfectly in italian language but Kingsoft set my Windows O.S. in US Regional Setting mode "1,200,000.10" instead of the correct european mode "1.200.000,10" even if i reset it, openig kingsoft rollback to the wrong setting :thumbd:

    uses en-us dictionary. does not seem to have a en-gb one available. link to dictionaries in earlier post does not work. home page does not list en-gb. closest is a canadian dictionary with en-gb hyphenation. not close enough.

    en-gb dictionary used by mozilla and other products was added via writer options and set to default. it didn't work. still uses en-us in spell checks.

    Professional version can save in 2007/10/13 Office formats:
    http://www.ksosoft.com/product/compare.html

    It seems they are still implementing this, because the newest changelog says:
    · New: Save documents as DOCX/DOTX/DOCM/DOTM

    Great News !!! My trick for others languages is working and now with the new switch features we can have 100 languages working if you want.
    As you can see in the picture above I have now English, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish and you can swith into your prefered :thumb:
    I go to update my first post on page 1 if I can and explain how to ... is realy simple
    Update: I can't edit first post 'cause is too old so i explai here how to set multiple language:
    1) Download your favorite language from here http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/search?f[0]=field_project_tags:157
    2) With your zip program (7zip, bandizip ....) Drag and drop the file that is OXT on the main gui of your archive program and choose to open it.
    3) extract only the 2 files that have extension .aff and .dic (it_IT.aff, it_IT.dic or es_ES.dic and ES-Es.aff or en_EN ....)
    4) change is name in "main" so there are 2 fale called main.aff and main.dic
    5) put this 2 file in a pattern in my case it_IT , pt_PT, es_ES ...
    6) insert in the pattern even this file called "dict.conf" open it with notepad and insert inside it this content (change name accordig with your language but let the second row unchanged I think is something chineese):
    [General]
    DisplayName=Italiano (Italia)
    DisplayName%5Bzh_CN%5D=英语 (美国)
    DisplayName%5Bit_IT%5D=Italiano (Italia)

    [Dictionary]
    DisplayName=Italiano_IT
    7) save and cloese the file
    8 ) Repeat step from 1 to 7 for all the language you want
    9) Put the patterns you created in:
    programs(x86)->Kingsoft->Kingsoft Office->office6->dicts
    if you have a 32bit windows I think is in Programs and not Programns(x86)

    At the end you have multilanguage dict and you can switch going into tools - set language
    Enjoy

    http://www.ksosoft.com/what-is-new-in-kingsoft-office-free-2013
    The changelog you report is from Filehippo but for me there is something wrong, this is a free suite so there is nothing trial that expired.
    Thanks god I use PrivateFirewall so I stoped every Kingsoft's outbound connection :cool:

    Just another little trick before I forget to mention here
    WPS as usual start with an annoying page of template online.
    To change this stupid behaviour and start with a new blink page make this simple trick:
    Open the Writer, go at the right up corner and click on the "Writer" now there is a Options and Exit icon, click on the Options and go to "General and Save" at the end there is a "Start with" option and choose New document instead of Homepage. Made this for spreedsheets too.
    Problem solved :thumb:

    Hi, i installed KSO about 2 weeks ago to try it out. I'm glad my FW is set to prompt for ALL outbounds, as there were many which i blocked ! I also discovered how to disable the Very annoying online template startup like Romagnolo1973.

    I didn't have time to test everything, but what i did worked fine, apart from saving to PDF. It saved as one, but the quality was Very poor. Anybody else found this to be the case, & is there a way to improve it via settings etc ?

    I only try with a simple text (my C.V.) and the quality seems good, but I don't know how can be using a complex pdf with images. In Options-General and Save there is an option to enable truetype, I don't know if this can help in pdf export too.
    I dont see others settigs that seems related to PDF quality

    UK Gov. move to ODF https://www.gov.uk/government/news/open-document-formats-selected-to-meet-user-needs
    so Kingsoft need invest in this format too, is the only problem of this great office, no odf support
    I write in WPS facebook page, if they reply I will inform you. In the past they said there are not enough developers to add this format, that cost a lot of work.
    http://wps-community.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26

    Could be this step from some Gov. change the story?

    Ahh WPS 2014 beta 2 is coming soon
