In the last few days, I have a couple of DNS errors in my Event Viewer which shows unsuccessful attempt to connect to www.risingpcdoctor.com. In searching Google, this appear to be a Chinese app that probably is not harmful, however I just don't like it. One of the posts I read indicated the poster had used it until recently when he switched to Kingsoft. Any comments or insight on this app? Appreciate any replies. Thanks.

Rising is the second Chinese security vendor known by the Rising AV. Not sure why would Kingsoft want to periodically connect to competitors webpage...

Maybe I wasn't clear in my post - I don't think this is a result of Kingsoft being installed - just that one poster indicated he switched from risingpcdoctor to Kingsoft.....don't know where it came from. I found out MBAM blocked it. No big deal, my pc checks clean and nothing seems to be installed regarding "rising". It just annoys me risingpcdoctor is "calling home" on my pc since I've never had it installed.

I just installed kingsoft 2012 sp3 on win pro 32 upgraded from windows 7 pro laptop. Everything looks fine except on the desktop app it is showing red and white and when hovering over it, it says real time Defense protection is disabled.
When right clicking on it, it shows Boundary Defense off and System Defense Off.

When opening the program all is enabled, so what is going on?

That's not even the official Rising Pc Doctor link as far as I am aware.

ok I rebooted, first it turned blue so I thought it was fixed, then 1 minute later it turned red again. So I uninstalled it until it is fixed.
I am only running WD for antivirus and superantispyware pro, that's it

Is this fully compatible with Win7 x64? Meaning all modules running on x64?

No. The system defense module doesn't have same capabilities as on 32bit systems...

    See....that's my point.
Just hire someone who speaks native English (or just a good reader/spelling checker) and everything should be ok.

It's not so badly translated. Sure there are tiny glitches here and there, but in general it's pretty good. I've seen far worse...

The translation is not an issue for me, much easier to understand Kingsoft than the Chinese software I use which has no English translation.
