Once you install kingsoft , you can open the gui and navigate to Anti-hacker tab and press scan now.

Anti-Hacker searches your system for possible vulnerabilities which hackers take advantages from and fixes them all.

Im not interested in "video reviews".:thumbd:
I want testimonies from people who are using it and not from a video tester from god knows where and it looked like it was in chinese which doesnt help me any.:thumbd:
User experience and opinions are more important.:thumb:

I installed the program on a windows 7 ultimate 32 bit sp1 test machine I have
    I have some questions
How does it do updates? Are they automatic like other antivirus programs?
I see you can only do manual scans. It cannot do automatic scans. Will future versions be able to do a scheduled scan?
When and if it finds something where does it put the virus or Trojan?
    Does it grab rootkits?
I did the Ecar test but Wd grabbed it before king soft did. But king soft showed it stopped it from coming in
Is there a help file to understand each function?
Can you use it as a stand alone antivirus program?
I was totally amazed it too a bill of an eye to install and so far is real light
I would like to recommend it to my clients but I want to test it some more but I would like an answer please to my questions
    Thanks
    Robin

I installed Kingsoft AV 2013. I don't read chinese so It's kind of lost on me. It was pretty quick to install much like the 2012 version. Maybe about 20 seconds longer. It has the android linking software. Seems pretty cool since I have a android phone. It detected two of the things that EAM always detected. That is the redirect that K9 web protection adds and process hacker as a suspicious item. Can't wait for the english version.

Runs good and light. The only thing is the update takes a long time. Here is a screen shot of the usage.

    Hi dear Robin..

    I numbered the questions

1- yes kingsoft is set to get the updates automatically by default
2- this hasn't been decided yet. but i'll suggest it.. let's see.
3- kingsoft would always put the removed threats in quarantine before deleting them. ( by default)
    4- yes
5- well let's call it a little software confilct :D
6- unfortunately not yet.. but you can watch video-reviews:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4dj2FdHM8o
maybe soon kingsoft provide the help file .
7- Absolutely.. kingsoft can be used either stand-alone or alongside of any AVs with quite compatibility.. i use it stand-alone.. you can see my security configuration here :

Amin: I have installed Kingsoft again alongside F-Secure Internet Security. Is that a good idea? Any compatibility issues?

Sher , I'm running F-Secure on one of my machines at the moment. Although i haven't installed KAV Along with it but from all my knowledge says to me:

I can assure you there will be no conflicts between these two Security Softwares ,
but remember to use the kingsoft SP5.2 on default level (Quick Monitor)

    Regards,
    Amin

F-secure uses the bitdefender engine so i would personally just rely on that rather than using kingsoft as well but having said that it is a good compliment to your security.

At the moment im using CIS full suite and the comodo av has not been officially tested by anyone and i think an extra layer maybe beneficial.
But ive not come across a lot of malware and the CAV does seem effective in little personal tests ive done.o_O

Kingsoft is going to make you want it with Avira , not F-Secure with Bitdefender.:argh:

Well avira test results have been somewhat flaky in the past. Its a fine av but yeah kingsoft will certainly benefit from the avira engine.:thumb:

So once they start using Avira's engine that means we shall have Avira web protection for free as well. Looking forward to Kingsoft 2013. Keep up the good work guys :thumb:

But how come Arthur in KingsoftSecurity forum mentioned:
"the SP5.2 does not contain avira engine"

I could be wrong but using the sigs and using the engine are two different things.

    Nope...

    Kingsoft SP5.2 = Cloud-based ( Only kingsoft signatures )

Kingsoft SP3.5 = Local virus lib ( kingsoft signatures + Avira signatures )

But in kingsoft 2013 Avira's Engine will be completely integrated into Kingsoft.

    Just be Patient :)

    Regards,
    Amin
