I think he means, being fully 64b, not 64b compatible??

yes but I am looking for a native 64 bit support and no compatibility mode. for example comodo AV has dedicated 32 bit version and dedicated 64 bit version.

Yeah, there is no separate version for 32bit or 64bit, just a full version which support both 32bit and 64bit.:D

Today I found when you insert a flash disk into the comp KAV offers nice popup with various options for the USB drive. Or may be it was days before? Sorry if I confused something.

    Hi Kingsoft Security Representatives,

KAV detects (Quick Scan) Process Hacker as a Hijacker (Image File Hijacking). I have reported it as a false positive but i can't label it as a "Trusted" file. On the other hand, PotPlayer gets detected (Full Scan) as a Trojan, but i was permitted to label it as "Trusted". How "trusting" a file works?

    Just to clarify:

Process Hacker 2.27 -> Running Process

    PotPlayer 1.5.33573 -> Installer

I 've already reported them as FP's.

I've just uninstalled Kingsoft due to the automatic quarantining of files.

If this is ever changed to having a prompt before quarantining I will start using Kingsoft again.

For the moment I'm happy to leave my computer completely unsecured.

Did you try changing the settings to manual?

Yes it was set to manual. However, as Kingsoft have posted here previously there are some situations where KAV will ignore this, and go ahead and quarantine files without asking first.

Something wrong with "Vul Fix" module. It says the same info for more then a month that all high risk patches are installed and only 12 selectable patches are available. And this module runs about a second though it must check updates for some minutes. Windows update says 23 important updates are available.

I had not seen that KAV will ignore the manual setting.......I guess it's more of a "suggestion" then a "setting". o_O

I asked the same question on Kingsoft's forum, and selina gave me the following response:

    http://www.kingsoftsecurity.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1048

    Me:

    "Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 English

I had 6 important updates available from WU, but when I ran the Vul Fix app, it only found & installed 1 of the updates. It left the other 5 updates untouched, and showed that "there were no vulnerabilities" on additional scans. This feature doesn't seem to work properly and I really, really wish you guys would give an option to disable the Vul Fix, as I do all of my WU manually, and don't need a 3rd party app running WU for me, and on top of that, reporting the wrong results too."

    selina:

"Vulnerability database is not synchronized of windows vulnerability database, it maybe a few days later than windows vulnerability database, about 4-5 days later. Because we need time to test the vulnerabilities and add them to our product.
Now vulfix can't be turn off completely but you can select "Do not alert me next time" in alert window. If no new vulnerability updated, the alert window will not popsup again.
    Thanks."

Thanx, DBone. Their "Vol Fix" really need revision. As for the rest KAV is really smart. :thumb:
