this little cleaner did a great job of cleaning the stoned empire  (aka  "monkey") boot virus on a laptop that was infected......obviously there are better cleaners...however, this deserved a mention.(freeware)

Thanks for the link, snowman! good to see you 'back-in-the-saddle', as it were!

I take it you're definitely on the mend now? If so, that sound you're hearing is a large sigh of relief from everyone! Pete

Thanks Guys.....its still pretty rough going.....still very weak....tired.......but better...much better...can hold small amounts of food......vegetable juices etc...

can't begin to express how much I appreciate the encouragement by everyone here at the BB.......I can tell you now....that I nearly didn't make it......had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance.....had stop breathing on the way...........not a very nice experience.........careful what you eat.

by the way.....the monkey virus seems to have resurfaced........I know of three computers infected with it during the past two weeks......none had virus scanners...or firewalls.........a virus as old as monkey (1999) should no be infecting computers todays......an its a real nasty......
