    Hello everyone,

I have been a long time Norton Internet Security user. Recently, it appears that a keylogger was installed on my system, but I have been unable to detect it so far. I have removed Norton & I installed Smart Security. I scanned my system with both programs, but neither have found any infections.
So, will Smart Security detect keyloggers? Or do I need a different type of program to catch this? Also, will keyloggers be detected when they are on the system, or only when they are running?

    Any info is greatly appreciated,
    BJR

Make sure that you have potentially unsafe applications enabled both in in the real-time protection and on-demand scanner setup. If the keylogger isn't detected then, compress the suspicious files with WinRAR or another ordinary packer, protect the archive with the password "infected" and send it to samples[at]eset.com with this thread's url enclosed.

    Hello,

If you are unsure of which files might be performing the keylogging on your system, download a copy of ESET SysInspector, create a log file and include it with the file you send to ESET.
