I know this has probably been touched on many times, but I just purchased
NOD32 version 2.5. After the installation and reboot, it gives an error saying there is a problem communicating with the kernel. There is no other security software running on the system; not even the windows firewall is on.
Can someone help. I've tried reinstalling several times with no success.
    Thanks,
    Clay

    Hello claytonrstone

Try deleting the Eset folder in Program files before you reinstall again. Uninstall NOD, reboot, delete the Eset folder, and reinstall NOD.
Here's a thread if you have used Norton and some other items to consider. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=131714

    Thanks,

I think the answer lies somewhere in the "norton" post that you referred to.
I previously had Norton installed and had trouble uninstalling it>

    Thanks again,

    Clay
