Kerio 2.1.5 Fix For Windows Me, 98 Users

I'll get right to the point. You don't need to install any additional software. I tried this out and not 1 single packet was able to pass through. Here Goes.

Click > Start

Click > Run

Type "misconfig" in the box, without the quotations. Hit enter.

"System Configuration Utility Box Will Appear."

Click > Static VxDs tab


Scroll down and uncheck the box beside "Vnetbios"

Click ok. That's it See screenshot. This works on Windows me. I'm sure it does on windows 98 also.

 

What was getting through to begin with?

Could you explain why/how you feel disabling the NetBIOS virtual device driver is impacting your firewalls performance?
