    Hi

yes it's stable very stable and w. or w/o. NOD enabled (KAV is always on)

in fact (hum) I've also always on TDS and adware and webroot spy sweeper...
I'm maybe lucky, but all live together in peace, without significant slowdown

I agree anyway that this is *maybe not recommended, but I know a couple of guys who also run the duo nod/kav without prob...

Good idea. I just checked ZA and all Kaspersky components are checked OK for Access (not as Server, however). I uninstalled ZA just to check, and lo and behold: KAV started scanning my emails! I am now installing Sygate Personal and will see how that changes things.

If I go back to ZA - is there anything else I would have to do? I did not see anything about allowing special permission as an email proxy: only for access/non-access.

I noticed someone in this thread http://forums.useice.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?s=40df1d9a5598ffff;act=ST;f=1;t=505 had an issue with e-mail scanning and ZA. A clean install of ZA fixed the problem.

It's been a while since I used ZA, but depending on the ZA level and version you have, there could be some contention between the KAV e-mail scanner and the one that is part of ZA (Mailsafe) if it is activated.

Done. Reinstalling ZA with a "clean" install solved it.

Thanks to all, I appreciate your help!
