Ok thanks. Did not know if upgrade was available from within 2012. I have KIS 2012 installed on my kids laptop. Will have to check this out over the weekend hopefully.

Hotfixes and patches are downloaded and applied from within the program, but brand new versions of the program can't be auto-updated.

Any idea how i can get my URL advisor and virtual keyboard add ons working in firefox.?
Also the secure input feature which i think is excellent is not working in firefox either.I dont want to ditch firefox if i can help it and would sooner do without the add ons than firefox.
Any ideas when these will work please.?
    Regards.:isay:

I would say they are working but the Virtual Keyboard does not seem to be working on this site. It did however seem to work when I tried it on Google. I don't know what it expects to see on a site for it to work. Using Firefox 15.0.1.

I received an update for firefox yesterday and im now running version 15.0.1.
I still do not have any kaspersky add ons.In fact they are not even present in my extensions list in firefox.
Is anybody else having this problem please. It seems to be working for other people but not mine for some odd reason.
Any help on this please..any ideas?
    Regards.:thumb: :ninja:

Say Jack, is it worth upgrading to 2013? Or should I stick with 2012? Heard of a few bugs with 2013 so was not sure if it was time to make the jump yet.

    Thanks.

Probably unregistered script dll files by previous uninstall...
    Try:
    regsvr32 jscript.dll
    regsvr32 vbscript.dll

I have had zero issues with 2013. Running it on Windows 8 x64. Can't say the same for 2012. It gave me some occasional issues. Been with the 2013 for 2 weeks.

Thanks for your suggestion. In fact it was probably something like that. The removal tool from Kasperski did the job and this time installation of KIS 2013 went without a glitch.

after trialing it, I am sold on this being the best Kaspersky yet. So I bought my license and hopefully will continue to be pleased. I like the AV over the suite.

Glad to have you back onside...

Agree that this is the best KIS yet...runs light and silent but protection has improved...and the AntiSpam has really been beefed up (which was always a weak point).

It's as light on my system as wsa is.No noticeable lag anywhere.Online gaming has been phenomenal with KIS installed.I remmeber KIS2012 lagging some games no matter what exceptions were made, but this KIS2013 is a triumph.I don't believe there is a single solution that can protect a clean system better than Kaspersky..and now you get the best protection and excellent resource usage as well.I am so impressed with it i am half tempted to place the download links in the symantec forums right next to all those nasty zeroaccess infections.God bless quads over there being a volunteer and all.I can understand why he gets testy. He wouldn't need to work 10% as hard were he working the KIS forums.Again, kudos to all those whose hard work has produced this years Kaspersky progs..the programmers..beta testers..etc.Simply amazing:D

Pretty much what i would expect from him.He knows better than everyone else.I understand his point about threats being referred to differently under each vendor, hence a search for the term zeroaccess or other infections on multiple forums is fruitless in that regard and is probable why one would not find the infection in another vendors forum.I know what to look for in each forum. At the end of the day it's the user that needs to become more educated so they will not make the mistake that allows threats to bypass their av's.Kudos to him and all his hard work, even though i disagree with him on a few things. There aren't to many people with the knowledge and energy to do what he does.As so not to get off topic any further than i have,i will say that i am quite happy with KIS protecting my main pc and hope others will give it a try.

Just checked it out, seems very nice :) However still no option in System Watcher to disable automatic trusting of digitally signed files. Does anyone know if this could be done through skins?

I have been using KIS 2013 on my laptop for a couple of weeks. It is running as smoothly as anything I have used. No conflicts with MBAM or Win Patrol. Have not had a glitch of any kind other than the inability to print from Safe Money.

I am just hoping Kaspersky will fix the Safe Money so that you can print from it.

Neither the Kaspersky Safe Money nor the Avast Safe Zone permit printing from them.

Possibily a delayed start service, you can check this with the command services.msc (start-up type)

I am finding that 2013 loads about as quick as anything I have tried, which was not the case in years past with Kaspersky. Of course the tray icon is delayed but no biggie..

2013 is pretty amazing and Kaspersky should be happy with what they have accomplished
