I was just doing emails and thought I would check Wilders. I've emailed one of my co-workers in CA who has access to the webserver so will be able to U/L it there. If he doesn't do it within a few hours then I will just take the risk and upload it to a free server and most likely get told off :)

BTW did any of you guys see the PC Plus (UK mag) review of DriveSentry?? They gave us Editor choice and we beat Symantec 2009 and lots of other AV products and best of all they tested the free version :argh:

I hope you're all not getting too drunk tonight o_O

    Thank you,

    Kate.

I couldn't find it either. They must hold current info a month or two before publishing it on the site.

    Guys,

I've upload a zip here -> http://www.wikiupload.com/download_page.php?id=83111 << EDIT NEW URL ADDED REQUIRED DLL

    Instructions:

Quit DriveSentry and copy this executable to c:\program files\drivesentry\

    Notes:

This is NOT an install just a build of DriveSentry that should uses less memory. The noticeable changes are:

    - Auto allow signed apps (this can be switched on or off in options)
    - A new home page menu (still being finished!)
    - Alot of bug fixes (which I cannot check as our company wiki is also down).

    * Memory may still creep up once it's run this I'm told is not a memory leak but the way the signatures are cached when real-time scanning is in progress.

    Check list:

The MD5 of this new drivesentry.exe should be ccbf9ab1dcc805f1f446a00119d9b0b9 don't run the file if it doesn't match. Use a program like HashCalc to determine this if you don't have something to check. Normally all DriveSentry files are signed this one is not as it's just for testing but will still protect your system!

I would appreciate if you could tell me the memory usage before and after.

    Thanks everyone for your help!

    Kate.

    Many thanks Katie.
I can tell you now pre-new exe. stats. Memory usage started at around 35K. Left the PC on, idle, for about 5 hours. Memory usage climbed to over 80K. Will transfer the new exe. per your instructions and post back initial mem. usage shortly.

Seems a minor hic-up. Get an error on start-up of DS. "Application has failed to start because cryptopp.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".
So that is what I will do.
