Kaspersky Security Scan 2.0

Is there any instance that Kaspersky Security Scan 2.0 would be useful? Maybe checking to see if an installed Antivirus program is still working after Malware cleaning?

Looks interesting, but should probably be a portable program rather than something you need to install.
