    Kaspersky  Anti-Virus - Maintenance Pack 1
    Dated: 24.05.2002

    Affected Software :

    Kaspersky™ Anti-Virus  Personal

    Kaspersky™ Anti-Virus  Personal Pro.

    Kaspersky™ Anti-Virus   for Workstations

Kaspersky™ Anti-Virus   for Windows NT Servers

This Maintenance Pack eliminates the following vulnerabilities in the software components:

    Kaspersky™ Anti-Virus Scanner    Version 4.0.5.10    Released 24.05.2002

    Fixes :

The problem with ZIP-files scanning launched from the command line under WinXP. In the previous build, when launching Kaspersky AV Scanner to scan .ZIP files, via the command line or contextual menu in Microsoft Windows™ Explorer, such files would not be scanned and no errors would be reported.

The "Read access error" message that came up when accessing the Master Boot Record of non-existent HDDs. In the previous build, when scanning the MBR of non-existent HDDs, Kaspersky AV Scanner reported a "Read access error" message.

Automatic restore of an original Autoexec.bat is added to the procedure for removing/curing the locked files via Autoexec.bat under Win95.

The "Read access error" message that came up when checking the BOOT sector on CD-ROM under Win9x.

The error with the statistics report display while scanning the BOOT sector on a diskette. In the previous build, Kaspersky AV Scanner would not display any statistics when it detected a virus in the BOOT sector of a diskette.

The error with curing locked files after reboot. In the previous build, in the case of locked files curing, Kaspersky AV Scanner would delete the infected file instead of replacing it with a cured file after reboot.

    Kaspersky™ Anti-Virus Monitor    Version 4.0.5.10    Released 24.05.2002

    Fixes :

The "Read access error" message that came up when accessing the Master Boot Record of non-existent HDDs. In the previous build, when scanning the MBR of non-existent HDDs, Kaspersky AV Monitor reported a "Read access error" message.

Automatic restore of an original Autoexec.bat is added to the procedure for removing/curing the locked files via Autoexec.bat under Win95.

Kaspersky AV Monitor crashing while processing TimeOutMsgBox under WinXP. A message box in Kaspersky AV Monitor closes automatically in 30 sec after it has come up. The Monitor's previous build under WinXP would crash in this situation.

Kaspersky AV Monitor crashing on restart (while executing the Apply command).

The problem of unwarranted accumulation of the memory used by the current processes.
