Kasperky Internet Security 2012 Stelth uninstalls MBAM? do i still need MBAM?

I'm upgrading to KIS 2012 but it kept hanging in install

It drew up a list of incompatible programs that was a blank list

so i clicked next.

hung for 1hour every time

REASON:


because KIS 2012 was "stealth uninstalling MBAM paid version" very bad

But i am sticking with KIS 2012. I like MBAM do i still need it? paid version has realtime protection.

Is Kaspersky bad uninstalling things in the background and hanging while its doing it...

it only uninstals MBAM on the instal ok KIS 2012. i have put it back

Precisely, I've always had both MBAM and KIS installed with 0 problems or slowdown. You simply need to follow the guide above as soon as you install MBAM or you're asking for trouble.

Not only MBAM, but installing any other active scanner other than your antivirus/security suite is asking for trouble and conflicts unless you setup the exclusions right as shown in the guide above. You setup the exclusions telling KIS not to worry about MBAM, then setup the exclusions in MBAM telling it to ignore KIS and you're safe

yeah it was a pain in the whatsit, I sat staring at the screen for 15 mins then xbox for 45 mins (Mass Effect 3 - with Jessica Chobot )

And when i came back to reality it was still hanging on the uninstal nothing screen.

I might write to Kaspersky and ask what they call a program that uninstals another without letting you know

Then let them know i was talking about their program

 

Yeah I had to turn off PM due to the high amount of spam / scam messages I get from users here.

People think that I give out program / antivirus licenses for free just because I am the founder of PC Tweakers
