Salutations/Greetings! K-Meleon 76 beta 2 + update can you install over existing install to update? Or do you have to unistall? And then install the current update? Kind regards,
All beta or testing releases are portable so you do not have to install/uninstall anything. Just unpack new update over your existing KM folder (under corresponding branch only however - don't update KM 75.x with KM 76 betas!!!)
Latest build for now is K-Meleon 76 beta 3 Changes since beta 2: Gecko 38.5 Fixed: session may not load. Fixed: possible memory corruption when reading $URL Added features from gestures2: draw gesture and search command Removed SSE2 requirement (not sure about this - rodocop) Macro readfile: Add support for UTF8 and UTF16LE BOM Fixed setbuttonimg Fixed kmprefs menu image option Added nsICommandLineRunner initialization Gestures: SuperDrag Fixed Continuous reload Added command OnOpenImageInNewTab/ID_OPEN_IMAGE_IN_NEW_TAB OnOpenImageInBackgroundTab/ID_OPEN_IMAGE_IN_BACKGROUNDTAB
In Daveski's screenshot of K-mel, notice the click buttons in the upper left corner whereby you can easily click on/off the following: Cookies, Java, JavaScript, Popups, & Images. There are also click buttons to Clear Cache, & Kill Flash. Verrry handy.
IIRC that toolbar can be quite customised, although I must admit to forgetting much of the customisation process. At the moment I'm trying to find the en-UK equivalents to these files so I can customise the spellchecker. I used to have them on file on my old, now sadly borked, notebook.
Well, nearly a week later and I'm still using the lightning fast K-Meleon. It weighs in at 65.2 MB on my hard drive!
Now it is a whole week. Due to Maxthon's rather buggy recent update KM is now my default browser. I have Flashblock back and it is quite customisable. I can't coax Flashblock to run on SeaMonkey even after uninstalling NoScript (replaced with PrefBar) and replacing uBlock Origin with BluHell Firewall (to facilitate watching some streamed commercial TV without ads). I have back-up profiles, an adblocker that works, control over JS, hotkeys, flash and much more. This is so a keeper!
K-mel is my default browser, also. One feature that I use a lot is the on/off click button for Java Script (JS). I shop very often at Amazon. Their website works just fine (& it's waaaay faster) with JS disabled.
A lot of sites work better without JS lol. The on/off (F7) toggle is easier than NoScript IMO. I'm a very happy bunny now I've got KM back.
I've been running the portable version as well, I'm just as impressed with that! I think Dorian's done a brilliant job with KM.
I'm using KM as default browser for almost 10 years. Sure it's great tool for all who know what they want in the web. You can try KM Pro builds with even more customization and functions!
FYI. New addition to the PA Platform: K-Meleon Portable 75.1 (lightweight, customizable browser) Released

@rodocop - - - Got it! It's running grrreat -- clear skies & a following wind. She's YAR!!! Many Many thanks to rodocop for keeping us on the alert to new K-mels.
Links in my previous post updated with most recent build where SSE2 limit is FINALLY removed and some small fixes made.
I am trying the PortableApps.com version, but I seem to get invalid security cerificate on every site ('Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer'). If I view the certificate, the issuer in each case is 'Adguard Personal CA', but I have the problem even if I disable Adguard. Any ideas?
I know of only 1 person here at Wilders who might be able to answer your question. Sadly, that person isn't me. If you don't hear from him (I *think* his user name Is Robocop) then I suggest you go to the Kmeleon forum -- they will answer your question for sure.
G'day paulderdash - You need https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Fix-...code-quot-SEC-ERROR-UNKNOWN-ISSUER/ta-p/35758 which explains: You should definitely ask on the KM forum about fixing the problem, but read the Mozilla page first.
