Still looking at this thread Cindy. ;)
Did you create the text as 'Selection'?
Also when you Paste it into another picture as a Layer, don't put the marching ants around it.
As long as it's inserted as a layer you can move it. :)
When putting the marching ants around it, you can select to apply effects, filters or pasting it.
Moving the text in this state duplicates it. :D

    LOL!
I thought this looked kinda funny.....like the letters are break'in up or something.

Don't know why they didn't show up better. Used the the pic in #246 for the letters.

    Follow these steps.

    1. Insert Text (Selection) into an image
    2. Copy the Selection text
    3. Paste it into a new image as a New Layer
    4. Move it to its position

Don't Float the text yet, otherwise it will duplicate. :doubt:
You've to delete the vector (= object) in your Layer pallette.
Be sure your text is set to Floating and don't apply any effect on it
before the vector object is removed, otherwise you've to go back in your steps. ;)

I'm talking about when I'm on the first picture creating the color of text that I want. Like on the Texas picure....it was a pain try'in to get the letters lined up on the Texas flag the way I wanted them.

I'm able to move the text around the second picture OK.

Are ya get'in what I'm talking about?

That's the problem about Selection text. Sometimes I've to redo it all over again to get it where I want it to.
Vector text can be easily manipulated, Selection text NOT and Floating has its limitations too. :doubt:
That's OK then, I wasn't sure what you said back then.
    I think I'm getting it. :D ;)

    [IMG] That's it Cindy.

Oh btw, before I'm forgetting it. You could try the same trick (Floating) with the Vector text,
but instead of deleting the object, you'll have to hide it.
Click on the eye in the Layer palette to hide the vector.

    Sorry to loose you there.
I'm talking about this lesson, but instead of creating a Floating text, use the Vector text. :D

Insert an object and apply your text the same way as the lesson above.
Afterwards hide the object and you're done.

It's pretty easy to do, but it's also part of the next lesson. :D
And that won't be so easy, I can assure you that.
Well done Alicia. You'll follow in your mother's footsteps.
Great pictures from you both.

Ya know, instead of printing all of them out.........I usually have my PSP screen open.........and the screen with the lesson open that I'm working on.
That way I can flip back and forth between the two as I'm doing the lesson.

    That helps A LOT!!

Really hope, we never lose this stuff!!
