    Re: Help Save Jimbob's Xmas

There is one thing I have just found.

If I check my connectios using the old router

There is a broadband connection which is disconnected although I'm on the internet. Labled Wan Miniport (PPOE) although my new router is suppose to use PPOA. And my Local Area Connection appears to be my broadband connection o_O

Shall I put my order in now?
    Oh really!!
I'd like to help but the only routers I know about are used for woodworking.
    Sorry,
    Buck.

No offence intended - but this issue doesn't belong over on TF, and thus has been moved a more approproate forum ;)

    regards.

Thanks for the warning :D that was a real clff-hanger...do you still want me to hold this antenna for better reception when you are transmitting from the bog?

If LCP is allowed to come up and stays up then the problem is with your username and password.

Does the i green light come on the front?
If it is then there is a physical link.

log onto the router and look at the connection.

    Who is your supplier?
ensure your username is correct which often includes the @blabla.net at the end.

    Regards
    Cliff
