This has been greatly improved since the first few releases of v2. I found it bit of a pain when it was first released and stayed with v1(freeware). The startup time is very fast and so far I have yet to find any annoyances! For anyone interested, I recommend bypassing: Application filter: direct network access Application filter: indirect network access Process attack filter When you first install Jetico v2, ignore the first prompt and head over to the 'Optimal Protection' menu and place a radio check in the relevant radio check boxes.
Well, if one want to get rid of HIPS features then bypassing Process attack filter is a way to go, but bypassing other filters is directly affecting Jetico's firewall capabilities.. Anyone experienced instability with 2.0.2.7 & 2.0.2.8 ? - maybe it's due to added "critical system object modification" and "change process privileges" process attack events - there are no issues with 2.0.2.6.
