Javacool - re Verisign browser hijacker

    Hi Javacool,
    I was just reading about the verisign browser hijacker here:
    http://www.spywareinfoforum.com/newsletter/archives/0903/24.php

    and was wondering if you can put a block in SpywareBlaster to stop this and protect us. I hope so.

    Hi Libra,

    Unfortunately, that "hijack" is being done right within the Internet's core DNS structure itself which Verisign has direct control over. SpywareBlaster can't do anything about it. However, you can use entries in your Hosts file to reduce it's impact, and completely eliminate its effects by blocking some addresses in your firewall.
