apan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority halted email exchanges with outside people and organizations after a suspected cyberattack on its server, a spokesman said Wednesday.

NRA is checking if any information from its server was leaked as a result of the suspected attack and it isn’t clear who is responsible

There’s no impact on operation of Japanese nuclear plants

Japan’s top nuclear regulator hit by cyber attack – media

The cyber attack was carried out on the Japanese Atomic Energy Control Committee, reports Wednesday TASS.
According to Japanese public television, in connection with the incident, the country’s main nuclear regulator temporarily disconnected all external connections to its own servers.
