is truecrypt any good?

    is this FREE open-source disk encryption software can be trusted?

    The source is available, but the license terms aren't GPL compatible. I use it and I love it though.

    what i mean is how is tryecrypt compare to other like it like Steganos_Safe and Jetico BestCrypt ...

    I think they're all quite similar. BestCrypt also has wipe features and some other extras. I don't know about Steganos Safe. But in the actual disk encryption they are very similar (they all have AES).

    Honestly. And Truly. I believe for myself that TrueCrypt Is a very strong program. and Will keep your data safe. it is all you really need. and besides anyone who has the manpower to crack someone encrypted that way will definitely need high motive to do so.

    You are perfectly safe with TrueCrypt.
