is this normal?

    I have been using Outpost Security Suite Pro for almost a year and had no idea if it had any impact on my laptop at all. I installed Kingsoft PC Doctor and the monitor shows it is striking the cpu between 33-47-and sometimes 67% .
    It is not a very fast laptop ( toshiba satellite 2 g ram and 2.20 ghz and 64 bit )
    I also have SAS pro but it is most of the time off)

    Its a very interesting results useful for all CPU/RAM obsessed users.

    Its means that CPU/RAM use are not necessarily an indication of lightness of a software since (as far as I can understand) you didn't notice any impact up to when you used a specific tool.

    uninstalled it and it came back to normal 4-7 %
