    Disk:
Primary partition + Extended partition with 1 Logical partition
    Scenario:
    1. Delete primary partition
    2. Extend Extended partition to the whole disk
    3. Extend logical partition on the whole disk

    Question:
Are these operations (I mean specifically 2 & 3) of long-running (30 minutes+) type? I would like to know if I need to get an UPS for the operation.

    TIA

Delete is very fast - couple of seconds.

If you are extending a partition to unallocated space on it's right - also very fast.

If you are extending a partition containing data - to the left - all the data has to be moved to the left - depends how much data needs to be moved
