I never said that. I have never purchased or even trialed Rescue and I have never enabled System Restore since it came into being.

Oh boy, i may have missed the boat on this thread.:) So much information in such a short time.

You can run it straight from Win7.

This is exactly how it should be done. Quick and simple to use and implement. No booting from DVD's necessary.

The step by step is as above. No other instructions necessary. :D

Sounds like Panagiotis is setting something up.;)

In summary, the "bootsect.exe" file works both on x86 and x64 systems. Just follow the procedure outlined by Osip (thanks for that :) ) and your good as gold.

tobacco, I was just speculating on how a person might use Rescue in conjunction with System Restore should I ever actually purchase Rescue, those were just ideas floating around in my head, again, I have never used Rescue or System Restore. If you search the Wilders forums you will see a gazillion posts from me about FD-ISR, I was one of the very first at Wilders to ever use it, was using the original before it even had the Archives feature, only Snapshots. You will not find a single post about me actually using Rescue or System Restore.

Acadia - if you look, i used the smiley with a tongue sticking out meaning i was just joking around - you know - tongue in cheek. Obviously, you appear to think it was a serious comment so my apologies.
