RE: TI Vers 10, build 4942

After installing the latest most current SNAPAPI driver download, is a newly created Rescue CD any different than one created before the driver update?

As far as I know, the SNAPAPI drivers are only used in Windows. If you install them and use a BartPE or VistaPE CD, you might want to create a new CD.

I assumed as much but I thought I would ask. I was trying to figure out a way to make my CD benefit from the updated driver file. I was not sure the file was exclusive to windows.

Could be worse. Some of us can't even get the snapapi to install new drivers under windows! ;-)

Tried the Update to Ver. 337:

The BARTPE Files are not being updated!
There are two files contained in the drivers subdir,
which have new versions in the running OS now:

    snapapi.dll
    snapman.sys

    One could manually copy them...

The Acronis BartPE plugin files would only be updated if Acronis released it with the updated files. You can probably copy them as you suggest.

If you use mustang's BartPE plugin, I'm pretty sure it pulls the installed snap*.* drivers and uses them so you would end up with the updated drivers being included in the BartPE build.
