Does anyone know what the deal is with iPhone Bluetooth?
The iPhone 7 refuses to pair with other phones. I found a few discussion topics on this dating back to the iPhone 4, usually populated with replies about rebooting phone, links to apple support pages, suggestions about possible software faults etc.
Obviously there is more to it than that as it has persisted through to the iPhone7 which strongly suggests it was deliberate to begin with.
It surely is very close to deceiving customers when a vendor claims compatability to a protocol or standard everyone knows because it has become a part of everyday life but their product proves not function in the manner they know consumers will expect it to when it has that branding.
I think most would agree, Bluetooth means, to the consumer, this device can pair to any other device that also says bluetooth on it.
That is what it always meant and is what consumers still believe it should mean but for some reason apparently only known to Apple, the iPhone doesn't.
